Leaked pic of the official BlackBerry Twitter App
Jay-Bo’s Tip of the day
If you use a BlackBerry and you Twitter it is a good idea to create your friends Twitter names in your autotext. For example when I type any of my friends first names and then a “t” after it autotext will change it to their Twitter name. So when I type jefft it will change it to @jeffbordinhao. Set it up, it will save you a lot of time and you don’t have to mesmerize everyone’s name.
**Reminder autotext is in options > autotext.

TWO THINGS I WOULD CHANGE WITH TWITTER
- Groups
A feature that I love with TweetDeck is the ability to create groups. This helps me to filter out messages and put them into categories to stay up to date on the tweets from my followers. One way to do this is the ability to create groups for the people you are following. For example, I follow family, sports starts, news sites, and many more. It would be nice to be able to switch to “category view” then I can filter all the tweets. On the flip side the other view would list all the tweets, like it currently does.
Implementing this would mean you would have to go back and now assign everyone your following to a group, which could be time consuming according to how many people you follow. For future people you choose to follow, once you click “follow” it would be nice to be able to assign them to a category.
- @Replies Summary
There are plenty of times when I see peoples respond to other people’s tweets and I never know what the beginning of the conversation was. For example, If I see “@jbordinhao Hell yea man” I never know what @jbordinhao first said. The only way to find out is to click on @jbordinhao and go through his tweets.
It would be nice if you could click on a reply and view the previous message from that user. For example I can click on “@jbordinhao Hell yea man” and I will show the last message that the user said. This way you know what the conversation is about.
This would be nice because I see so many people will just one-word answers and I am always curious of what people are talking about.
