BlackBerry Top 10 - #2
Here is #2 to my top 10 list of BlackBerry features.
2. OS
This may sound weird but I love the overall feel and usability of the BlackBerry operating system. With the home menu I am able to switch to different themes and layouts of my icons. Also I can hide certain programs or features that I do not use. For example, voice dialing, I don’t use this feature so I am able to hide it. All this does it hide it in the background and by clicking the menu button and choosing show all, I am able to view my hidden icons. Another great feature to keep things cleaner is the ability to create folders. With the folders I can organize certain icons. On my device I have 4 email accounts (work, school, personal, and website email). All 4 accounts have separate icons but are also all viewed together in the “messages” icon. So I put all 4 icons in a folder titled “email” and I just access my email using the “messages” folder.
Another great part of the OS is the fact that options menus is in all text. The reason why I like this is because when I go to “options” there is a huge list of my options in text. I find this easier to read then to look at pictures like some other phone, also this loads a lot quicker. There are also shortcuts by pushing the letter on the keyboard.
This is about all for the OS; there are still many, many little things out there. Oh yea and copy and paste…
